The Public Trustee and Guardian will be closed from Thursday, 25 December 2025 and will reopen on Friday, 2 January 2026.
During this time, we cannot make decisions about financial, property, accommodation, or routine health care and support services.
If you need help while we are closed:
- If someone has passed away and PTG holds a Will:
- Contact a funeral director to arrange the funeral. You can report the estate when our office reopens.
- Emergency guardianship application:
- Speak with hospital social work staff.
- Financial management clients:
- Regular payments will continue during the closure.
- Weekend and public holidays may affect payment dates.
- No extra fund requests will be processed during this time.
Enquiries submitted via our website will be answered when we reopen on Friday, 2 January 2026.
